On insecurities and comfort zones.

Warning! Vulnerable post here! I wasn’t going to share this with the world, but have decided that maybe it will help someone out there. ❤️

Three days ago I had a conversation with someone that I highly respect and admire, and asked his advice on overcoming insecurities. (Surprise! I’ve got a bunch! ????) His answer was one that I wasn’t looking for. I had hoped for some great thing to read or some, I don’t know, magic formula for confidence boosting. Do you know what he did instead? He challenged me. He challenged me to strike up a conversation with a certain amount of random strangers for a certain amount of days. Not only am I to strike up a conversation with them, I am to ask what their passion in life is, and then ask to take their picture. Guys, that is WAY out of my comfort zone, but so so good. I am conquering fears and meeting amazing people while I’m at it! If you’re afraid of something, my lesson from this is it’s best just to go out there and do that very thing! Even, or especially, when it’s super uncomfortable. Hugs to anyone who battling insecurities or low self-esteem. You’re loved and you’re valuable! And strangers aren’t always scary ????

Stay tuned for stories and photos of the people I’m meeting!

Much love,
